Rhetoric About Right To Carry In National Parks

In a recent article about the Fort Hunt/Gravelly Point Open Carry rallies the author implies that (p)Resident Soetoro gave (returned?) Americans the right to lawfully carry firearms in National Parks.

This is a very narrow interpretation of the prospects of the bill which was signed into law and went into effect on February 22, 2010. The bill which this amendment was added as a rider was a Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act which, among other things, includes language prohibiting card companies from raising interest rates on existing balances unless the borrower pays at least 60 days late and, on cards with more than one interest rate, issuers will have to apply payments above the minimum first to the debts with the highest rates.

The fact that many supporters of Barack Hussein Obama scream "irony" over the armed protest as it could only be held because the bill was signed into law are missing the point. The law does not permit carry of firearms in National Parks. The law states that National Parks shall abide by the laws of the states in which they are located. The irony is that since Washington D.C. outlaws most forms of carry of firearms the event still could not take place on the National Mall. The event could also not be held anywhere in Maryland and still be lawful.

That Virginia has some of the best (read: least infringing) firearms laws in the country only lent itself to the logical conclusion that a Virginia-side National Park be utilized for our protest.

So the one useful thing that the usurper has done since assuming the (p)Residency (as he is not lawfully eligible to hold said office) is to sign a bill intended to aid consumers and NOT VETO it based on the partial-gun-rights-restoring rider that was tacked on.

McDonnell Signs Restaurant Bill

Finally, after years of unsubstantiated rhetoric and warnings from the left (also unsupported in any statistical presentation on the subject) that restaurants will turn into O.K. Corral-esque shootouts, Virginia governor Bob McDonnell today signed the overwhelmingly supported legislation permitting customers to enter restaurants which also serve alcohol for on-site consumption and carry their personal firearms lawfully concealed.

Virginia follows in the footsteps of 42 other states which presently allow concealed carry in restaurants.

The law (repeal) goes into effect on July 1, 2010.

Up to that point (and beyond) citizens may continue to openly carry their personal defense weapons.

A Modest Proposal For "Rules" of Divorce/Balkanization

They get to keep a per-capita share of military and public works apportioned based on the most current census.

Along with that goes the caveat that they finance and support it themselves. If need be, they sell their hardware and defense share to the CISA*. The liberals, hippies and bootlickers will probably be ecstatic to "reduce" their military spending.

We (the CISA*) reduce and remove intervention and military exposition into all foreign entanglements and treaties, just as Washington warned against. We from hereon out defend OUR interests and OUR cargoes. Our ground-based military will be dispersed from a full-time (standing) force to a limited officer corps and reserve-service structure with the exception of the Navy and supplemental Air Force/Air Space defense measures.

The Coast Guard will board and/or sink anything that illegally enters our international waters. They will aid and assist those who request it, duty bound as mariners.

The Navy will defend our shipping interests. They will not defend anyone else. You want protection? Build your own damn Navy. Or pay us a fee for our services.

Illegals will be given the opportunity to voluntarily return to their nations of origin. They will have six months and may take with them whatever is theirs. After such time they will be forcibly removed and their possessions will be rendered to auction to pay for the expense of their removal.

We will strive to maintain lawful, open borders with our Socialist neighbors. Free passage will be granted and no citizen of our neighboring countries shall be denied Visa unless they are found to be fugitives from the law. Citizens of USSA shall have a period of three (3) years to put their affairs in order and relocate to the CISA without penalty. After such time the citizenship reciprocity shall expire and requisite citizenship processes (naturalization) will be instated.

There shall be no entitlements. The courts will not interpret the Constitution. There will be absolutely NO LAWS which infringe on any part of any of the natural rights we hold dear. Mere suggestion of any such laws will be grounds for congressional suspension and/or censure.

The states and the PEOPLE will have the final authority. The president will not hand down mandates and the power of "executive order" shall be henceforth immediately and permanently revoked. All alphabet agencies shall be abolished and all federal "services" and pogroms shall be eliminated. All federal lands (and establishments) shall be turned over to the direction of their respective states and the facilities, forces and services therein located will be at the discretion solely of the Governor of that state.

No troops shall be mustered from any state for expeditionary roles and no war shall be waged without the unanimous approval of the separate Confederated states.

We break the United States up into three parts. California is cut loose so most of its residents can pursue their dream of becoming a full fledged communist/green/Aztlan state.

I think that split would involve the least amount of displacement for people during the one or two year moving period. Many of you guys who live in occupied territory may not like this idea. Philip Van Cleave, president of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, thinks he should be allowed to keep his gun concealed when he goes into a bar [sic]*.

Virginia Beach Police Chief Jake Jacocks thinks that would be dangerous because waiters won't know whether they're serving alcohol to an armed customer.

Both men are entitled to their opinions. But Van Cleave is not entitled to turn this policy disagreement into a personal attack against Jacocks and the Beach's 800 police officers.

One need only listen the RECORDING of the interview to recognize that this reporter has deliberately and onerously misdirected and quoted Mr. Van Cleave out-of-context. Such journalistic sensationalism one might expect from The Sun or The National Enquirer, but from a heretofore reputable, however liberally-leaning publication? It smacks of one-sidedness and a very anti-freedom, leftist agenda.

The Fairfax County police officer who shot an unarmed man to death in January will not be charged with a crime, the county's chief prosecutor announced yesterday, and the man's family angrily responded by claiming that a civilian in the same situation would have been arrested.

From the start, Fairfax police declared that the killing of Salvatore J. Culosi, 37, was an accident and that the SWAT officer who fired had done so unintentionally. Fairfax Commonwealth's Attorney Robert F. Horan Jr. said that when a person fires a gun without malice and unintentionally kills someone, "they do not commit a crime."

Read that last part again. The Commonwealth's Attorney says that "when a person fires a gun without malice and unintentionally kills someone, they do not commit a crime."

I wonder how well that argument would hold up as a defense for someone who is not a member of the enforcer class?

Allowing guns in bars is a recipe for disaster. We can fully expect that at some point in the future a disagreement that today would likely end up in a verbal confrontation, or a bar fight, will inevitably end with gunfire if you sign this legislation into law. Whether it is the armed citizen who drinks in a bar and gets into such a confrontation, or the armed citizen doesn't drink and is pulled into a confrontation by someone who has been drinking - the potential for display and/or discharge of the firearm is unquestionably high.　 Serious injuries resulting from patrons fleeing in panic once someone yells "He's got a gun!" or a death resulting from either discharge of the weapon or the reaction to the weapon by the establishment’s security personnel will be the rule, rather the exception.

Once again another idiot with a badge presumes to know what will happen if law-abiding citizens are permitted to carry their personal defense weapons lawfully. What he willfully omits is that the only thing that will change with this bill is the ability for those who so desire (and are properly permitted) may CHOOSE to carry openly or concealed, because right now there is NO LAW prohibiting open carry in the same establishments he swears up and down will become Reservoir Dog shootouts if conceal carry is permitted, as if mode of carry is the determinant factor and now, all of a sudden, previously law-abiding citizens, with their newfound freedom to CHOOSE the mode of carry with which they are most comfortable, will somehow magically devolve into short-tempered, belligerent thugs.

Never mind that the language within the bill requires that those who should so choose to carry conceal shall be prohibited from consuming alcoholic beverages while patronizing such establishments. Open carriers are not (and have not been) subject to this same prohibition. Where are the bodies, I wonder?

He has no faith in the goodness of a lawful citizenry and, while claiming to support the RKBA, speaks out of the other side of his mouth against generally the most law-abiding segment of the populace, licensed open carriers.

If you have the opportunity, please send a message to The City of Virginia Beach Chief of Police and also to the Mayor, William D. Sessoms, who appointed and defends this ignorance.

State's police chiefs seek veto of guns-in-bars bill

Calling guns in bars a "recipe for disaster," the state's police chiefs have pleaded with Gov. Bob McDonnell to veto legislation that would ease Virginia's concealed weapon laws.

Virginia Beach police Chief Jake Jacocks Jr. sent a letter to McDonnell last week on behalf of the state association of chiefs comparing the combination of firearms and alcohol with drinking and driving.

"We can fully expect that at some point in the future a disagreement that today would likely end up in a verbal confrontation, or a bar fight, will inevitably end with gunfire if you sign this legislation into law," Jacocks wrote.

So even the chief of police in Virginia Beach is an anti-liberty scumbag. Great.

Yes, these are the same guys who showed up with ear buds and boonie hats and BDUs at Lobby Day but decided it wasn't in their interests to lawfully arm themselves. Despite that both the VCDL and OCDO were out in force, none of these nitwits thought it would be prudent to also exercise their rights. Wouldn't want to ruffle any feathers now, would we?

They have taken it upon themselves to decide who is and who is not eligible to participate in their little pretend militia with their milquetoast, watered-down version of patriotism - colored by political correctness and yankee liberalism. Upon the mention that the Militia and the RKBA's preeminent and primary purpose is to "Defend against tyranny in government" (Jefferson) I was surreptitiously shown the door. Call it sour grapes, but apparently having a classical, fundamental understanding of the purpose and duty of the Militia does not constitute agreeable eligibility.

And so, I urge any and all TRUE PATRIOTS (not the kind who will follow the empire down into oblivion playing pretend) to seek out and encourage your fellows to educate themselves and avoid this group like the plague. Their little play missions (providing armed security detail for the 10th Amendment resolution) are a joke and their elected officers and ranks are of absolutely no consequence.

No one - I repeat: NO ONE - should ask for permission to defend Virginia or whichever state they love and wish to see free of federal tyranny. THAT is the purpose of the Militia.

Off Course - A Dream I Had

I don't normally go off on such topics, but last night I had a very strange and disconcerting dream.

I have been married for over eleven years. I have an infant son. I love my wife and child very much and would do anything to protect and provide for them.

Last night I dreamed I was transported back in time to the early '70s. The Vietnam "war" was winding down and hundreds of thousands of American men were returning home, facing permanent psychological damage from the scenes they witnessed in service to the federal empire.

I was attending a rock concert with some new friends. At the end of the concert I was in ecstasy, euphoria from witnessing such an awesome spectacle.

Then it hit me. I had no wife. I had no son. The things that I held dearest in my life were gone and here I was celebrating something petty and frivolous.

In the wake of that realization I became very depressed and frightened. It would still be many years before the woman I loved and who bore my son would even be born. Everything I had ever dreamed before and up to then evaporated in an instant and I was alone, facing the rest of my life without my favoured companion and my beautiful child. By the time she would be the age when we met and fell in love, I would be nearly an old man and of no interest or relevance to her.

The last thing I recall from my dream was visiting the hospital on the day she was born and leaving a single rose with her mother.

I woke up amid tears and panic and held my wife close to me.

The blessings of this life are fleet and passing and you have to hold on to them tightly for they are all we have.

The Virginia General Assembly - Who's My Legislator?

Virginians - Senators Marsh and Saslaw have acted in violation of Senate committee rules, deliberately and spuriously acting to block and "kill" bills that they know would otherwise be passed by the general Senate. This practice does not follow the letter nor the spirit of the Constitutional Republican government of Virginia and places the legislative process singularly at their whim. Contact your representatives and let them know that this is an unacceptable practice.

Who is my legislator?

Here is my letter to Mr. Wagner (Senate 7th District) and Mr. Villanueva (House 21st District):

Mr. Wagner & Mr. Villanueva:

As a constituent I strongly urge you to propose or instigate investigation into the unlawful tabling of bills by Mr. Marsh's subcommittee in the Senate Courts & Justice Committee which has deliberately and onerously derailed legislation that both Mr. Marsh and Mr. Saslaw knew would pass the general Senate.

These men have acted not as representatives of the interests of the Commonwealth of Virginia, but of themselves and of a select few whose only interest is one of a vindictive nature. Mr. Marsh is apparently upset that House rules which permit Senate bills to be passed over does not exist in Senate precedent, so he has created such to his own ends, namely: stopping bills he personally opposes.

That it is even considered that he has such authority in and of himself is preposterous.

I urge you to enter a motion to censure his and formally investigate these illegal acts and, if discovered that he has acted spuriously and with frivolity against the wishes of the people of Virginia (which I believe he most-certainly has) then he should be impeached, removed and permanently barred from the political theater in Virginia.

He is not a patriot. He is not a Virginian. He is a sycophantic, self-righteous interloper who has no business partaking in the legislative process in our fair Commonwealth.

Senate 'kill bill' panel stops bill repealing gun rationing

White House Land Grab

A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job- creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that's essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.

President Obama could enact the plans in this memo with just the stroke of a pen, without any input from the communities affected by it.

SB334 Passes House

Virginia's 17-y.o. tradition of barring lawfully concealed firearms carriers from doing so in restaurants that serve alcohol (there is no such thing as a "bar" in the Commonwealth, despite flaccid argument to the contrary) is in the final stages of being eliminated, at least partly.

SB334 will permit a lawfully-armed citizen holding a valid CHP (Concealed Handgun Permit) to carry their personal firearm into a restaurant concealed as long as they do not drink any alcohol.

Until the passage of this bill, which heads to the Speaker today, then to the Lieutenant Governor before being placed on the Governor's desk for signature (he has all but assured he will honor all pro-liberty bills that reach his desk this session), citizens wishing to enter an establishment which served alcohol in the Commonwealth were required to carry openly; in plain view.

For many, this does not meet with their particular level of comfort and had been a thorn in the side of gun-rights supporters for many years as it was one of the few instances where the "special" status of a conceal carrier (sometimes known as "VIP" carry) was not superior to the Constitutionally and statutorily-recognized right to carry.

Other bills passing and heading to the Governor shortly are SB3, which allows CHP holders to renew their permits by mail and SB408 which allows anyone who may lawfully possess a firearm in Virginia to store his weapon in a locked container or compartment without a CHP.

Paramilitarization of Local Law Enforcement

The militarization of our civilian police is perhaps one of the most clear and present threats to personal civil liberties in our society today.

There has been an "us vs them" attitude growing in Law Enforcement in the US since the early 1950s, and it has reached the point where today, the majority of LEAs have it as policy that officers operate under this adversarial mindset as a matter of course.

Military-style weapons, vehicles, training, uniforms, and even psyops (through Public relations campaigns) have all fed this fire. The naming of Federal law enforcement initiatives (the "War on Drugs", the "War on Poverty", the "War on Terror") with "martial" titles has further fed into this adversarial mindset.

Law enforcement agencies are NOT military units. They are in existence to ENFORCE the law, NOT as a strong-arm tool for the government to force policy upon the people.

Federal funding has a lot to do with this. The programs of federal grants, the Federal Asset Forfeiture program, and other policies of institutionalized robbery, fraud and graft have lined the pocked of LEAs that SHOULD be operating on a locally-funded shoestring budget. Unless these methods of federal bribery are removed from local LE, they will remain a tremendous influence on the attitudes and procedures of LEAs on the local level. Many of these adversarial attitudes come from the "top", as DOD, FBI, and DEA agents are often used to train local police in "special tactics" or with "new technology".

It's a difficult situation to address. Federal influence has turned local law enforcement from a "protect and serve" mentality to a "dominate and subjugate" mentality. And that Federal influence brings with it a LOT of money. Few Local LEAs are willing to say "no" to the Federal offers of increased militarization because it would also mean saying "no" to millions of dollars in funding and equipment.

Until we, as citizens, change this attitude in our state and local governments, and in our state and local police forces, this adversarial attitude in LEAs will grow and fester until they are essentially a thuggish standing army.

The Gadsden/Bonnie Blue Comparison

The Gadsden Flag is more like the Bonnie Blue than the Stars & Stripes.

In 1774 there were no united states. There was no united States. A minority faction of revolutionary thinkers, fundamental rights advocates and free-staters came together and penned a mighty document to provide future generations a foundation of liberty and personal responsibility.

Nearly every single one of those men died destitute or as an outlaw against the government which ruled at the time, that of King George, III of Great Britain.

There were few galvanizing events that shook these patriots (note the use of "patriots" before the existence of any nationality to ascribe) to the core was the confiscation of their personal arms. These men knew, as we do now, that in every instance where a tyrannical government has taken the effort to remove the ability (for they can never completely take the WILL) to defend themselves and their lands then they become slaves to that same government, unable to defend against despotism and abusive executive disposition.

In 1774 there was no flag. There was no "Stars & Stripes". There were only Thirteen (13) independent colonial subdivisions. Prior to the misapplication of the 14th Amendment and federally mandated "nationhood", these several, separate states were independent countries. They had no signal, no icon behind which to rally.

Enter the Gadsden Flag. Modeled after Patrick Henry's "Culpeper Militia" flag which was inspired by Benjamin Franklin's "Join or die" the flag depicted the thirteen colonies as rattles on the snakes tail, each united against a common foe, the British Government and King George, III, who ruled from afar and without perspective.

The Gadsden Flag was not a symbol of a united people for a common government. It was a symbol of soildarity of a minority against an usurping, interfering nationalist, centrist government, at whose head sat the King of England. After the Culpeper Minutemen's display, many brigades and commands took up the Gadsden for its simple message "Don't Tread On Me" which meant, simply "Leave me alone and let me live my life the way I see fit."

Recently a large number of "tea party" groups have adopted this flag to fly in display of their disillusionment of the present federal government's banking and Wall Street bailouts, nationalization of healthcare and industry and general displeasure with the course in which this country has been led. Side-by-side these "tea party patriots" fly the Gadsden Flag and the Star & Stripes of the same government whose actions they oppose.

In 1860 a group of Southern States, believing that the founders had provided them with a means and a duty to abolish or reject the federal government decided that the time to exercise their God-given right to be free had come. They similarly adopted a flag that could unite them against a centrist, nationalist tyranny. The Bonnie Blue flag had previously been used by the Independent and sovereign state of South Florida and was recognized, similarly to the Lone Star of Texas, as a symbol of state sovereignty and self-governance.

The original compact of the states was for them to be the supreme rulers of the federal government and for the people to empower those governments with ONLY the powers they deemed necessary to protect their sovereign rights. Since the invasion of Lincoln's armies in 1861, the dispute has been considered closed by many based on the merit of force-of-arms being the deciding factor. It is true, had France not intervened in the Colonies's bid for independence (read: secession) from the British Empire, our Independence would have been rendered null and based on sheer force of arms to coerce compliance from a willfully disobedient people.

The Gadsden Flag, for all that it represents, does not hearken to a people united to install an all-powerful, centralized federal hierarchy that would rule over them and force them to abide by its will. It was quite the opposite. The Gadsden was raised over a Continental (a "confederated") Navy and flown as a standard by makeshift armies of men who desired freedom from such a government. It is estimated that only one-third of all subjects at the time desired force of arms as a path to liberty. A full third desired to remain loyal to the British empire and the remaining third were either apathetic or preferred to continue diplomatic engagements for a peaceful solution.

In truth, the revolutionary spirit, the one that was once originally considered "patriotism" for its wanting to be liberated from Britain is the same spirit that is condemned and demonized by the liberal media cartels and neo-conservatives. These people today would represent the Tories and those who favor diplomacy and reform (respectively) rather than patriots.

The Gadsden Flag was flown as a symbol of confederation in a common cause, liberation from the British empire, but never for the purpose of reforming or revolutionizing the existing system. It was flown by thirteen separate, individual, sovereign nations who had come together in congress to independence from a common oppressor. These thirteen colonies remained as independent and wholly sovereign entities for almost five years before a compact could be agreed upon for a loose association of the existing several governments.

The original compact (and that which followed) specifically reserved all powers not delegated to the federal body to the states or the people. This government existed for less than two decades before it was decided that it did not appreciably address certain important details of common interest between the states and left the fragile new republic in jeopardy of itself.

Upon ratification and accession of the Constitution, the member states previously of the "permanent" (the only document to ever refer to such was the Articles of Confederation) union essentially seceded from that compact to form another that suited them better. Several states (Virginia included) wrote into their ratification statements that they reserved the right to exit such compact at any time that they felt it no longer served their interests or became too cumbersome or overbearing. In 1860 several states, believing that it was their sovereign right to abandon or abolish such government that acted to usurp and subjugate, attempted to peacefully leave the voluntary union.

And, much like King George in 1774, Abraham Lincoln could not allow the taxable base and conscription of the Southern people to leave. In a mere 72 years the united State government had devolved into the exact government itself had fought to abjure in 1774.

The Gadsden Flag was flown by separate, sovereign citizens representing independent countries, thirteen of them, who wished to be separated from tyranny. They knew this was only possible through their cooperative efforts, but it in no way implied them to be a united country. The Gadsden Flag should not be flown at "tea parties" unless the citizens flying them are intent on the abolishment of and separation from the federal government. The Gadsden Flag is a flag of liberation FROM tyranny, not a flag of compromise nor of reform.

Abjure the realm. The Bonnie Blue and the Gadsden Flag represent individual sovereignty and individual and state-level esprit-de-corps in DEFIANCE of an overreaching, all-powerful federal government. They DO NOT represent compromise, obedience or complicity with the status-quo of the current regime.

This yankee carpetbagging indoctrinate has no idea what "patriotism" is. To him, one can only be patriotic if defending Uncle Sugar and the invasion of sovereign States under false pretenses.

The many hundreds of thousands who died defending Dixie and the millions more who have suffered since for their defeat were patriots to the Southern Cause. The Southern Nation. The Southern Flag.

While he may not see it that way, patriotism was not always about "expressing their devoted love, support and defense of the United States of America." That country had reduced them to 2nd-class citizens in their own lands, removed from them any semblance of representation in government by undermining them with apportionment so lopsided that Southern economic and commercial interests were rendered moot and used their own compacts to the union as shackles with which to fasten their fates to those of the yankee nation.

I know I am preaching to the choir here, but it can't be said enough.

I still receive abrasive and argumentative responses from people who truly believe that the war was fought strictly over slavery and that anyone who would want to see a free Southron country "rise again" must surely want to reinstitute such conditions among the races.

What they fail to realize is that the Dear Leader (and many who have come before him) have already successfully endeavored to enslave us all to their fiat money scheme, their taxation and usury. Knife Amnesty on Anglesey After Man Died From Stab

A two-month knife amnesty has begun on Anglesey following the death of a 21-year-old man from a knife wound.

The amnesty comes as a memorial walk was held for Leon Jones, a mechanic, who died following an incident in Holyhead in November last year.

Mr Jones's parents took part in the torch-lit march on Friday evening.

North Wales Police have set up amnesty bins at Holyhead, Llangefni, Menai Bridge, Gaerwen and Valley police stations.

Before Friday's march, David Hughes, one of the organisers, said: "We're hoping to educate the kids, to enlighten them that, it's not big and it's not clever to carry knives, and to dump the knife and, hopefully, save a life.

To me, it does not strain credulity to see the “rich capitalists” opting for the pseudo-security of the nanny state. Certainly there are many who still prefer to rise or fall on the merits of their ideas and of their hard work, but the vast majority of American business leaders are no longer “entrepreneurs,” but rather “bureaucrats” who are skilled enough and politically savvy enough to have risen through the ranks of management at large companies and now find themselves “leading” perhaps hundreds of thousands of employees and grossing upwards of a hundred billion US dollars in a year.

If the truth be known, most of these business “leaders” couldn’t lead ants to a picnic. Their skills aren’t as product visionaries or as motivators of the masses—they are accounting and finance majors, who know how to make the numbers for the next quarter... how to leverage the company’s assets to create the illusion of even greater power, savvy, and wealth. But they are slaves to the stock and bond market—to the fund managers and analysts who dictate the destinies of their market valuation and hence their longevity as executives. For to have your company falter, even slightly, vis-à-vis the analysts’ market forecasts is to risk a fall from grace and an ouster from the halls of privilege.

So they become more and more timid—fearful of a misstep—more attuned to the vagaries of international arbitrage than to the markets they supposedly serve. They become Machiavellian masters of intrigue in the boardroom and expert at passing the buck and the blame—ignoble toadies bowing down to whatever power they see might prolong their reign another month, another day, just for one more hour. Risk becomes the enemy, they come to value the safety of certainty above the possibility of achievement and the government is the mother lode of certainty.

“Uncle Sugar” is really the only entity who can propel a business leader into the enviable position every professional gambler knows as “hitting the middle.” This is where the savvy bookie has found “takers” who will cover each end of a point spread, offsetting the risk to the bookie BUT, and this is the sweetness of “catching a middle,” they leave a portion of the betting line uncovered, so that, if the resulting scores for the contest bet on fall within a certain range, the bookie collects from both bettors but if the result isn’t favorable, the two bettors cover one another (the loser pays off the winner through the bookie). Thus, in catching a middle, the bookie collects a payoff without really incurring a risk. This is what the government can do for a business. In fact it was exactly what it did for investment banks who joined with commercial banks to create an unholy alliance that almost took down the economies of the industrialized world.

HOW? Through the government’s (read: the Federal Reserve’s) unlimited capacity to “create” money COUPLED WITH the government’s (read: Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac) willingness to underwrite TRILLIONS of dollars in extremely risky loans that, absent the government assurance of acceptance of this risk, sane bankers would NEVER have issued. BUT, with the government accepting the risk of loss AND the banks reaping the fees and interest when the loans were good, they had found that sweet spot promising UNLIMITED gain with NO POSSIBILITY of loss. Viola! The “bookies” had caught their middle—and what a middle it was. They couldn’t pump loans out the door fast enough (or rake in the cash proceeds fast enough). Profits soared, stock went through the roof, bonuses were stratospheric, God was in His heaven and all was indeed right with the world!

If you were a banker, you damned better be churning the loans or you and your company were going to be left in the dust and pretty soon you’d be hanging out your shingle as a former bank exec. There were few who didn’t get the message and still fewer who didn’t answer the bell with all the enthusiasm that hundred million dollar bonuses can muster.

Then the music stopped and lo and behold someone had stolen ALL the chairs. There was NO PLACE to sit down and EVERYONE was left holding the bag! Welcome to the present!

There was no reason at all for us to be involved in WWII. It was a "necessary" action to pull Amerikha out of the Great Depression.

There was a large contingent of Italian, Austrian and Spanish who did not agree with Hitler's final solution. And one of our "allies", the Soviet Union, went on to become more vile and despotic than Hitler could ever have dreamed. Stalin killed more of his own people than Hitler (by a large margin) of foreign peoples, including all the Jews, no matter which cooked book you read on the subject.

I'm not "rooting" for China. I'm just saying that they have their own designs and their own choices to make. It is not up to us to pretend to be better than everyone else when our own government has no other interest, judging by their actions, than to destroy our wealth, our Constitution and our prosperity to line the pockets of a few elites.

Trust me. I live only a few short miles from what would ultimately be ground zero. The largest collection of militaria on the planet is right in my backyard and I'd be a fool to believe that a direct attack on the U.S. wouldn't include targets in the Hampton Roads area.

But that's just it. There is no evidence that says we are being targeted. Why are we the only ones who get to have nuclear weapons with which to threaten other countries? What makes us so morally superior that they should believe we won't use them? We are the only country in the history of the world to deploy atomic weapons on an "aggressor", and we did so in true yankee fashion, unleashing their devastation on innocent civilian populations as an incentive to fear.

Japan had already lost. Hundreds of thousands of Japanese were senselessly and mercilessly slaughtered and we're better than everyone else?

That logic train doesn't stop at my house. I want no part in such blatantly imperialistic pursuits which is why I believe that Virginia and the whole of the South would be far better off without Washington's interference.

A Revelation

Several of the founding fathers (and, subsequently, early Presidents of the United State) were land surveyors. Throughout its infancy, though plagued by foreign agitation and internal disagreements, the country remained cohesive and cogent.

Only after the people began electing lawyers and accountants to the highest office did things begin to rapidly decay. Suddenly, men who had not done an honest day's work in all their lives were commanding authority over an entire country.

Perhaps if a few more states elected surveyors and engineers, men of character and ethics, those states would find the strength to deny the federal government and form a new, liberty-minded country based on the framers' designs.

The "Restaurant" Bill

In the majority of states throughout the country it is perfectly legal for someone who has taken the proper steps, passed the required criminal background check and voluntarily registered himself with his state's government to lawfully carry a concealed firearm into his favorite dining establishment, even if they <gasp!> serve alcoholic beverages.

Virginia is a strange animal in this respect. According to [current] Virginia statutory law it is illegal for anyone not exempted by special status (§ 18.2-308 (B))to carry a concealed handgun into such an establishment. They may, however, openly carry a firearm into those same establishments and, if they so desire, enjoy an adult beverage.

There has been a recent and well-deserved resurgence of Constitutionally-minded legislation being introduced in the VA House and Senate pushing to bring Virginia's conceal-carry status more in line with the national standard, but the opponents of such legislation continue to assail us with the same talking-point arguments that have been statistically disproven in nearly every instance.

They believe that allowing concealed guns in "bars" (there are no bars in the Commonwealth, only ) will result in OK Corral-esque shootouts and disagreements between patrons devolving to violence and gunfire, placing their lives in imminent danger, danger that of course does not exist when LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS are gathered in any place.

What these people really mean to say is that THEY are afraid of guns. They do not trust themselves to be responsible for their own safety and security and they believe that if they do not want to carry a personal defense weapon, then nobody should be allowed to do so.

What they fail to comprehend in their tiny brains is that it is, and HAS BEEN, perfectly legal for any citizen, licensed or otherwise, to openly carry a firearm into any one of these establishments. They claim that they would not go into a restaurant where law-abiding citizens who have chosen to defend themselves may patronize. They say that the "restaurant bill" will make it more dangerous because they won't know if another patron is carrying a gun or not.

The fact remains that they don't know now. There is no way for them to know unless a LAW-ABIDING CITIZEN is openly carrying a firearm in the establishment, as is required by law. Anyone else who is carrying a weapon, unless they meet the special exception criteria set forth by the Virginia Code, is doing so illegally and is most likely a criminal. Criminals do not obey the law. Laws only serve to restrict and prohibit the lawful but the anti-gun crowd, no matter how many massacres and murders coincidentally occur in locations where guns have been banned (GFCZs) the criminal is the only one who was armed and thereby the victims rendered defenseless.

The senseless, unsupported and grossly irresponsible rhetoric and hyperbole from groups such as the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence only serves to instill a sense of fear and helplessness among the potential victim crowd. Every place which is posted, placarded or otherwise indicated as a "Gun Free Zone" (GFSZ, for instance) provides would-be murderers, rapists, burglars and thieves with a target-rich environment in which to wreak havoc and mischief completely unhindered by lawfully armed citizens.

Marvel Comic’s Captain America is the mightiest soldier with the super powerful secret soldier formula that makes him a super man. Sadly, this muscle bound hero that took on the whole Nazi army during WWII seems to be afraid of those American people who’ve joined the Tea Party movement. Not only is Cappy quaking in his little red booties, but he’s sure that the Tea Party folks are dangerous racists, too.

Isn’t it wonderful that a decades old American comic book hero is now being used to turn readers against our very political system, being used to slander folks that are standing up for real American principles in real life — and one called “Captain America” at that?

Not Your Father's Army

We appreciate their willingness to put themselves in harm's way for the preservation of our nation's liberty and independence. We honor their sacrifice. Indeed, many of us share that sacrifice with the deaths, dismemberments, and paralysis of our most cherished loved ones who were killed or injured in the line of duty.

Council of Governors Takes Shape

Admittedly I know very little about the process or purpose behind this "Council" so I have only to pray that Mr. McDonnell, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, takes this opportunity to tell the Marxist-in-Chief what he can do with his health bills, his budgets, his industry and banking takeovers and his smarmy, apologist, self-righteous demeanor.

If your Governor is on the "list" I encourage you to contact them and, rather than demand that they decline to participate, that they scream from their seat on the council that the people of these several states have had quite enough of Washington's tyranny.

Here is my letter to Governor McDonnell addressing the subject:

Mr. McDonnell:

I have heard rumblings that you may have accepted an invitation to enjoin sitting president Obama's so-called "Council of Governors" and I urge you to carefully navigate its purpose and ramifications for Virginia.

Not in 150 years has Virginia's sovereignty been so jeopardized as by this fraudulent usurper. Only Lincoln's tyranny compares to the unadulterated despotism emanating from the District in the past handful of administrations and Obama's is clearly directed at capturing the last vestiges of authority from the states and making the federal leviathan an omnipresent, infallible overlord.

Mr. McDonnell, you ran on a platform of honesty and Southern Christian values and led the people of this fine Commonwealth, my lifelong home, to believe that you would turn the tide of the past liberalistic governorships and return Virginia to its fundamental roots.

Please do not abuse the faith your citizens have placed in you to help defend our sovereign rights from the criminal syndicate entrenched in Washington. Already the democrat-stacked committees in the state house have killed several necessary and liberty-minded bills on premises of fear and emotion, leaving liberty and fundamental freedom to flap in the breeze.

Demand that our Virginia Guards be returned home. Demand that our Virginia laws are not subject to the tyrannical whims of Washington and demand that the thugs and criminals in the federal government will face consequences for their betrayal of our Southern heritage and our sovereign rights.

Well folks,

This used to be my primary networking board before I got hell bent on Ron Paul, and since 2007, I have done pretty much nothing but Constitutional politics.

I have a plan that could affect a restoration of the Constitutional order, peacefully and politically, but it starts in the State houses rather than the US Congress and the White House. Problem is, it is hard to convince all of these activists to pay less attention to the glamorous US Congress races, and instead pay attention to the mundane State Assembly races.

I myself am running for NC State House, with an agenda to introduce 10th Amendment State Sovereignty, Firearms Freedom, HealthCare Freedom, and Energy Marketplace Freedom acts, but with most of the focus in the movement invested at the Federal level, I am not sure how it is going to work out.

I am slowly turning heads and changing minds, but I suspect that it is not fast enough.

That means that we will be dealing with the complete and total abrogation of the Constitution by 2012. There will be nothing of America left unless we can get those in the Liberty movement to push back from the States, and reign in the Fed.

The entire split between us and the balance of the RWVA was based on whether it was inconvenient, too frightening, or 'awkward' to discuss the more sensitive topics such as the collapse of America, the SHTF, and survival in the PAW.

I suspect that we are beyond that point now.

ConchMan, I want to thank you for keeping this board up and alive for these last 2 years -- while the traffic has dropped to life-support levels, I have no doubt that things will pick up again over the next 2 years as things clearly begin to look inevitable. And we have to know that when the SHTF, we will not be alone.

Today, I make this pledge to you, and to all those readers who remain on this forum, that I will lay down my life to uphold and defend the Constitution against every enemy. I will do so peacefully until there remains no recourse, and then I will only fire if I am first fired upon. Those who are of one mind in this as I am, are my brothers, and firing upon them will be the same as firing upon me.

To this end I will pledge my life, my worldly goods, and my sacred honor: when the wheels come off and all hell breaks loose, I will be there, geared up and ready to go. We need men armed not only with weapons, but with wits and honour and devotion to a sacred cause, one that has been ignored and discarded by the federal government.

I say it again - anyone looking for a sure-thing in 2010 by "voting out" the scumbags are in for a rude awakening. What's fundamentally wrong with this country can't be fixed in one election cycle or one hundred election cycles. It began in 1861 and has blossomed into a putrid, self-sustaining and self-perpetuating monster that bears resemblance to the founders' vision in name only.

The only way to save any portion of the good that once was in this country before the likes of tyrants like Lincoln and FDR is balkanization.

Roanoke Columnist On Mindless Anti-gun Rampage

To the residents of the cozy town of Roanoke, Virginia, a respected OP/ED columnist and humorist. To the patriotic and Constitutionally-minded citizens of the remaining width and breadth of the Old Dominion a self-righteous blowhard with a handful of very bitter, very misguided worshipers stumbling all over themselves to offer up their own liberty for a little slice of security.

And to top this all off, though I cannot cite specifics in his writings (I would be all day poring over his inane blatherings) I am fairly certain he is another in a long line of misguided Lincoln-worshipers who have conveniently chosen to forget that yankee armies of the usurper burned and looted our beautiful Shenandoah, murdering and raping women, children and the elderly and infirmed in order to subjugate his own likely ancestors.

Dan Casey has published opinions on numerous topics but he continuously returns to the anti-gun well over and over, beating the dead horse, reanimating the horse, killing it again and then beating it some more. Why? Because he does not believe that God intended and the founders provided for every man to have the ability to defend himself and his family from criminals and to defend his country against the forces of despotism and tyranny... without asking his government's permission to do so.

Dan's perspective, and that of his willfully ignorant and submissive admirers, is one of painful irresponsibility and unfounded fear. They permit their lives to be controlled by emotions and opinions rather than facts a logic, denying fundamental rights for everyone because they themselves do not feel comfortable acceding to the inherent burden of a free society. It's a psychological phenomenon known as "projection".

What is further disturbing is the next step that his dupes invariably take. As soon as they have discovered that their position is no longer tenable they digress immediately to childish namecalling and ad-hominem.

Point out statistics that prove your point? You must be a racist. Provide links to articles supporting your argument? You must be a conspiracy theorist. However often they are shown to be wrong - and I'm not talking about the "little bit" wrong that comes from making a left when you should have made a right, I'm talking about the "Oops, we converted to metric from international feet and then converted back to U.S. Survey feet and the Mars lander was vaporized on impact" kind of wrong - they redirect and distract, changing the subject or backpedaling like a cyclist trying in vain to avoid an imminent collosion. It's the kind of wrong that could open a hole in the space-time continuum. The kind of wrong that makes the Baby Jesus cry.

In the past couple of months Mr. Casey has posted no fewer than a half-dozen brazen and irresponsible missives lambasting the firearms community for their vigilance in defending the 2nd Amendment and the RKBA (Right to Keep and Bear Arms). He calls us "crazy". He calls us "lunatics". He ignores nationwide statistical evidence and law enforcement testimony that GUNS SAVE LIVES.

And his groupies lap it up like helpless, drunken kittens at a bowl of milk spiked with catnip vodka. They have no problem dissecting Southern heritage and debasing Constitutional principles because, hey, that doesn't feed their side of the argument.

I invite you to read Dan's Weblog. If for no other reason than it will give you a practical insight into the inner workings of the mind of a very disturbed and distrustful sycophant. He considers his own opinion to be so great that it should override the rule of law and the republican process.

Hey, the Constitution has already been shredded to tatters. Why not piss on the remains? Really, it would be pretty funny if it wasn't so sad. VA Constitutional Militia Muster - August 2, 2009

How much longer does the Republic truly have? 230 years ago the founders scripted a basic compact of limited, enumerated federal government and unalienable (some cites “inalienable”) fundamental rights. Having forged a new republic of separate States (capital “S”) united (little “u”) to insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote (not “provide”, notice the difference) the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty.

Rights that they had witnessed abused, abridged, infringed and abrogated by the Imperial British crown.

There were opposing factions. Some wanted a bigger, more encompassing federal structure. Some wanted a very small central government. Compromises were made, but there were numerous items that all of the signators could agree on. The Bill of Rights was borne out of a need to guarantee that this newly-authored rule of law could never again be used to subjugate, enslave or abuse its privilege.

It was begun in 1865 after a brutal, antagonistic and illegal war on a free people whose only wish was that they be left alone to govern themselves in the manner they were once guaranteed under the Constitution.

Since then the American political machine, controlled by banking and special-interests as opposed to the rule of law has most-excellently applied Marx's 10 planks. Let's take a look, shall we?

1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rents of land to public purposes - Successfully applied rubric of "eminent domain" under the 14th Amendment.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax - Thank you, 16th Amendment.

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance - Federal Estate Tax (1916)

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels - Executive order 11490, §1205 and the 1997 Crime/Terrorist Bill

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly - Federal Reserve Act of 1913

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the State - Federal Highway Act of 1916, Communications Act of 1934, Interstate Commerce Commission given authority by Congress to regulate trucking and carriers on inland waterways, 1935-40

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan - Desert Entry Act and The Department of Agriculture. As well as the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service... Agriculture Adjustment Act of 1933 paying farmers NOT to plant

8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture - Social Security Administration and The Department of Labor, 19th Amendment and Civil Rights Act of 1964, Unions, affirmative action, the Federal Public Works Program and Executive order 11000

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country - Planning Reorganization Act of 1949, Executive orders 11647 & 11731

10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production - Department of Education, the NEA and Outcome Based "Education"

Under the auspices of “national security” the president has secured almost unlimited and unchecked powers using executive orders. Congress approved the passage of the War Powers Act in 1933 which gave Franklin Delano Roosevelt the presumed authority to act swiftly and decisively to prevent extended damage and demoralization from the Great Depression. He swore that once they were no longer necessary, he would return such powers from the office to the legislature. 76 years later presidents still enact unconstitutional mandates and executive legislation (the Patriot Act, for example) in direct defiance of Constitutional law. What is worse is that congress and even the supreme court permit this despotism. That congress had the audacity, the arrogance to enact such blatantly spurious legislation, illegally delegating the authority vested in them and them alone by WE THE PEOPLE from to the executive office is in and of itself an act of, if not questionable ethics, criminal enterprise.

The 2ND Amendment very clearly lays out the course for men of faith, men of reason and rule of law to defend the pre-purposed design of Constitutional law. As the Constitution was written to define, describe and enumerate the limited and ONLY powers that the federal government may make use, it is implied and provided by the 9TH and 10TH Amendments that all other powers are reserved to the individual states and, barring their affect thereon, to the PEOPLE.

Truly, then, a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The Militia of the People is recognized as the single defining and controlling body of the rule of law to prevent the egregious and invasive forms of centralized, para-militarized federal interference into the lives of sovereign citizens. Being that the Constitution was formed and ratified by the People, the People are then the ultimate authority on their destinies. Such does not meet with approval by the government in place today.

There has been a steady and precipitous decline in individual rights and a vast increase in federally mandated appointments, apportionments, taxes and jurisdiction which the founders would never have permitted, lest they would have included them in the founding documents.

Any number of federal agencies presently operate extra-Constitutionally. That means they operate outside of the rule of law and without any Constitutional basis for existence. In fact, many of them operate in direct contradiction to and defiance of Constitutional directive. The Internal Revenue Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (2ND Amendment violation), Department of Education (9TH and 10TH), Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Communications Commission (1ST Amendment violation), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), NASA, Federal Bureau of Investigation (national police force), Drug Enforcement Agency, Transportation Safety Administration (TSA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA)… I could go on and on with what the general population may consider “alphabet” agencies and then I could cite thousands of violations each one has made against the liberty of independent sovereigns in this country. One need look no further than the sieges at Waco and Ruby Ridge for evidence of the ability and determination of the federal government to force its will on the people, to coldly and callously murder innocent men, women and children whose only transgression was the imagined crime of rejecting the spurious and invasive policies of the federal leviathan.

Before I go any further I have to take a moment to provide us a safety net, a caveat that protects and indemnifies each and every one of us from suspicion of insurrection or rebellion, which are clearly defined prospects under Constitutional law. While the Militia of the People is recognized and provided for by both the federal and state Constitutions, it is likely that any movement to physically, visibly arm and/or provision such an organization may draw attention from interests or individuals who either have no understanding of Constitutional or historical precedent or would be better served for a body of patriots to be subdued or subverted before they became a reckoning body. We must make it unquestionably evident that we have no interest and no intention of overthrowing the present government, despite its evidenced disregard for its own designated limits.

The primary concern of this muster, this meeting today is to introduce those who are unfamiliar and renew the interest of those who are in the formation, restoration and revitalization of THE ultimate authority under Constitutional law, the Militia of the Several States. I say the Several States because in the beginning there were thirteen independent colonies. Thirteen separate and sovereign self-governing republics who united to break their fealty, their slavery to the British crown and the throne of King George, III.

In essence they were what are known as the three-percenters. There were estimated to be approximately three percent of the population who strongly or actively supported the movement for independence. In all a total of perhaps one third of the population supported separation from the British Empire. Another third was loyal to the crown and strongly opposed such separation (Tories) and the remaining third made no evince of their opinion, content to side with whoever came out victorious, fearful that choosing one side or the other would jeopardize their personal security or not even having a strong enough opinion one way or the other.

Our first exercise of the right of secession under natural law came in 1774 when the delegates to the Constitutional Conventions drafted and ratified their masterpiece of treason to the throne, the Declaration of Independence. Make no mistake, had those men failed, had France’s powerful and capable armada under Admiral Comp de Grasse during the Battle of the Capes and the siege of Yorktown been delayed in joining the fight the united States would never have come to exist. Virginia would possibly still be ruled by a descendant of Lord Cornwallis to this day.

The men that fought for the Colonial Army under General Washington were not army regulars. They were not a standing army of professional soldiers, having been instructed and trained in the art of soldiering by Napoleonic strategists. They were regular men who, in defense of their sovereignty, had determined to secure certain inalienable rights; namely life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness – not the guarantee of such happiness, only the right to pursue is – endowed upon them by their creator.

The declaration continues, and I am reading verbatim because I sense that some of you may not have ever heard these words, that you may never have borne witness to the truth or the magnitude of just what these souls were trying to establish for us 230 years ago. Please lend a patient ear and determine for yourselves if any of this sounds familiar, if any of it might be relevant in a contemporary theater:

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed – That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. – Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected, whereby the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.
He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these united Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.

Can any of you deny that these selfsame grievances have not been undertaken by the government of Lincoln, of Roosevelt, of Hoover, of Truman, of Carter, Nixon, Bush, Clinton… and now a man who will not even provide tangible, indisputable evidence of his place of birth and who has, in a matter of mere months, indebted ours and untold future generations of our children to the yoke of yet another Marxist, socialist agenda?

Until 1861 there was no pressing argument to provide a catalyst for the Separate States to, once again, be separate. There had been a handful of testings of these waters, but the common good or even common compromise always managed to lead the day and prevail with the several states remaining as, if nothing else, a tentative Union.

Once the Southern states determined that their financial interests were being supplanted for Northern industrial development in a ratio that undermined their own security, private wealth and the very character of their own designs and devices, they, individually and collectively decided to sever their bond with the federal government and forge ahead with a new Confederate nation, one of limited centralized government and the authority they believed was vested in them by the founders returned to them. This can be evidenced by the ordinance of secession of the Commonwealth of Virginia, ratified April 17, 1861 and tendered to the United States. An exerpt:

The people of Virginia, in their ratification of the Constitution of the United States of America, adopted by them in Convention, on the 25th day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eight-eight, having declared that the powers granted them under the said Constitution were derived from the people of the United States, and might be resumed whensoever the same should be perverted to their injury and oppression, and the Federal Government having perverted said powers…

A great number of Southern sovereigns and Virginians (Robert E. Lee among them) were opposed to secession and would have preferred to see the Union preserved. They did, however, also recognize that the very federal government that had been formed out of the wilderness in 1789 was no longer recognizable to them and that they could not argue with their states, which they rightly recognized as being Constitutionally superior to the federal government.

To further illustrate this peculiar paradox, Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to Major John Cartwright, of June 5th, 1824 wrote “With respect to our state and federal governments, I do not think their relations correctly understood by foreigners. They generally suppose the former subordinate to the latter. But, this is not the case. They are co-ordinate departments of one simple and integral whole. To the state governments are reserved all legislation administration, in affairs which concern their own citizens only; and to the federal government is given whatever concerns foreigners and citizens of other states; these functions alone being made federal. The one is the domestic, the other the foreign branch of the same government - neither having control over the other, but within its own department.”

The purpose of this long and likely exhausting presentation is to lay the groundwork, a foundation for understanding the necessity of the Constitutional Militia. The federal government has evinced a growing and unceasing desire to control, legislate and mandate its will on the states and independent sovereigns against their will. Through excessive taxation and unwieldy, inefficient and generally socialistic programs and policies they have reduced the private wealth of Virginia to a pittance. They print trillions of dollars of federal reserve notes which are not actual money in the classical sense, but rather debt instruments, promissory notes that have a value not based on a tangible, real product, but on speculation and artificially inflated credit markets. And then they force small businesses, the single largest generators of private wealth and providers of employment in Virginia to pay the greatest corporate income tax in the world – THE WORLD – to provide welfare services, education, business and energy incentives to foreign interests and illegals.

Our founders prepared a protection for us, as citizens, against such tyranny. It is contained in that simple sentence that I issued earlier, most well known as the 2ND Amendment: a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Being NECESSARY to the security of a FREE STATE. Gentlemen it is not only our right and responsibility, but our duty as Virginians and Southron to demand that our state legislatures adopt and enact statutory law empowering the Militia of the People to act as it was once intended, to be the ultimate authority, under the civil power, to execute the laws of the Commonwealth and the Constitution.

The basic building block of the Militia of the Several States is the Citizens Homeland Security Association, and that is what I am here to represent to you today. The CHSA is a fundamental idea, a stepping stone to regaining our state and individual sovereignty. The illegally created federal Department of Homeland Security is illegitimate in that it pretends to protect this country from “terror” by abrogating and limiting our natural rights and deciding when to grant us permission to perform certain acts or exercise certain rights.

They pretend to protect us from an analogous, indefinable, abstract concept. Terror has no home base, no country of origin. It has no beginning and no end and as such, victory over it can never be achieved. This is not intended to be representative of some gloom-and-doom scenario. The federal government masquerades as a savior, a protector of the people by fostering fear, instilling a sense of doubt and stoking resentment in its citizenry as a means to cull support for their own agenda.

The CHSA is our way to reestablish the rule of law and force government to either accept its citizens as masters, rather than servants, or to be prepared for the likely and precipitous collapse that surely faces us should they choose not to abide by the laws to which they are supposedly bound.

Generally we must start by educating. We must educate our friends, our neighbors and our families about the role of the Militia of the People in the construction and defense of the Commonwealth and of the country. We must be willing and able to lawfully defend our homes and ourselves without fear of retaliation from some federal bureaucracy or a punitive, narcissistic, theatrical court system. We must be able to heed the call to aid and repair of our vital infrastructures in the event of a natural disaster or act of terror.

We must police our own communities and promote order and lawfulness among our fellow citizens. We must jealously defend our sovereignty and our shores from foreign invaders, be they ill-intentioned or otherwise. We must make certain that our children do not bear the burden of a failure to act when action was most needed.

A Citizens Homeland Security Association can be established nearly anywhere. It should at first be comprised of Constitutionally knowledgeable and patriotically motivated citizens. Members need not be exceptionally skilled in all or ANY aspects of military, para-military, para-medical or legal arenas. While it is desirable for members to be able to be lawfully armed and proficient with such arms, this is not an immediate requisite. As I have before stated, our mission is to educate and inform and bring attention to our local and state legislatures that there are patriots, true patriots, not just flag-waving, fair-weather-Fourth-of-July, blindly-loyal, line-towing pseudo-patriots, among their citizenry and we take our Constitutional obligations seriously.

It is of utmost importance for each member of any CHSA, to the best of his ability and as he can afford, to provide and prepare his own materiel as he deems necessary for performing his assigned or initiated tasks. As we are not a governmental agency, but a community group founded and populated by average citizens and without financial investment of government or otherwise, at present any items must be procured on an as-needed basis, starting with the bare essentials and then supplemented as finances permit. Hopefully at some time in the future we may be able to allocate private funds to aid in the provisioning of our members for their posts.

Furthermore, as we move in the direction of encouraging revisions to statutory law that re-vest and strengthen our rightful authority, we must consider the possibility that the government will not agree to our demands, the demands to which we are wholly entitled under the Constitution. We must recognize that Lincoln’s invasion of the South did not decide, lawfully, once and for all the issue of secession as a legal means to separate from the union.

I know that it is probably difficult for some of you to stomach and for some others this may even be the first you have heard of such an idea. Most of you were probably taught in school that Lincoln invaded the South to preserve the union. While on the surface this is true, the reasoning behind it is evident even today and mostly manifested in the passage of 16TH Amendment, where congress was granted the authority to levy a tax on wages and incomes, irrespective of apportionment, census or enumeration.

This, and for many other reasons, the least of which being slavery, and I only mention it because invariably someone is going to bring it up and it might as well be addressed now, as being Constitutionally protected at the time… led to the issuance of ordinances of secession from the Southern “slave holding” states. A simple review of Lincoln’s first inaugural address should supplant any confusion or disillusion of Lincoln’s views on the subject.

I would however prefer to digress from such a subject of antiquity and antebellum interest. While it must be recognized that there are distinct differences in ability, development, culture and even potential of all races, the issue of slavery or even the mere mention of it being relevant to any discussion of individual sovereignty today is circumspect. The only people in this country who could truly be represented as slaves are WE THE PEOPLE as a whole body, forcibly chained to the illegitimate tax structure and wealth-destroying fiscal and foreign policies of the federal government.

So secession, as you may know it, was not necessarily “evil” any more in 1861 than it was in 1774. In fact, it had been specifically reserved as an exercisable option by numerous states in their ratification statements, not the least of which was Virginia:

…in the name and in behalf of the people of Virginia, declare and make known that the powers granted under the Constitution, being derived from the people of the United States may be resumed by them whensoever the same shall be perverted to their injury or oppression, and that every power not granted thereby remains with them and at their will: that therefore no right of any denomination, can be cancelled, abridged, restrained or modified, by the Congress, by the Senate or House of Representatives acting in any capacity, by the President or any department or officer of the United States, except in those instances in which power is given by the Constitution for those purposes: and that among other essential rights, the liberty of conscience and of the press cannot be cancelled, abridged, restrained or modified by any authority of the United States.

The so-called “civil” war, because a civil war is two or more opposing factions fighting over a single governmental seat… something we experience a mild form of every four years… rather than a war of northern aggression, a war for southern independence or a war between the states, could not have been decisive of the legality of secession any more than a coerced confession. An action evoked under duress, of which the surrender of Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia, starving, outmanned and outgunned, to Grant’s Army of the Potomac most assuredly was, is not and CANNOT be a binding accord. Reinstatement to the union, under union terms at the end of a bayonet, is no more valid than should I point a knife, a sword or a gun at your head and force you to perform unconscionable acts against your will.

So I provide that secession cannot be overlooked nor ignored as an option should our efforts of diplomacy and lawful discourse fail to yield sufficient fruit. As citizens of this country either through process of oath of loyalty or consequence of birth (per the 14TH Amendment) and citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia either by birth or by preference of residence or business, we have a responsibility, a duty and an obligation to restore and revitalize the Militia of the People, to implore our state legislature to honor, empower and submit to the authority of the will of the people and the rule of law and engage them in every effort to effect a return to Constitutional government, complete review of federal policy and interventionism and restoration of the government of this country to its limited, enumerated powers as we have agreed and acceded to.

Further, should we elect to proceed along such a path we must make doubly sure that our ranks are not subverted by influences contrary or questionable to our ends. The Militia of the People must not be enjoined or incorporated into any political party or subdivision nor any domestic or foreign influence, particularly any evincing a design or desire to usurp, overthrow or subvert the government of the Commonwealth of Virginia or that of the united States.

The revitalized Militia of the People should be characterized by honor, honesty and a duty to God, to self, to state and country, in that order. The original founders’ intent was for the federal government to be a servant of the states, performing only such actions as necessary and enumerated in the Constitution. At most it was to be of no more than parallel authority to that of the several states, never higher and most certainly never indivisible. If the several states had known going in that their accession to the rule of law and under the Constitution was going to be permanently binding and not of a voluntary nature (as evinced by numerous ratification statements) then there would have been no Union. In fact, the very formation of the Constitutional union was predicated by the failure of the prior PERPETUAL union scripted under the Articles of Confederation.

Truly, this PERPETUAL union lasted a mere thirteen years and by act of acceding to the Constitutional union, the ratifying states would have had to actively and onerously seceded from that previous union.

So here we have a government that has not once but twice used the act of secession to provide for the betterment of its citizens. There is no rightly reason that secession could not function to liberate the several states from tyranny once again.

In the interim we must concentrate our efforts on educating our communities, encouraging our local and state governments to support and empower the authority of WE THE PEOPLE and work to provide the public at large with REAL SOLUTIONS to homeland security, borne out of Constitutional responsibility and not out of some political, financial or material enterprise.

Our founders brought out of the wilderness a great and powerful nation with noble and honourable intentions. In the years since it was laid down its laws have been ignored, abrogated, obfuscated, re-imagined, redefined, abridged and infringed. That process must not only be stopped but reversed and permanently regressed to its intended basal nature.

I do not profess to be an expert in matters of this magnitude. I do not expect that there are many out there who could consider themselves authorities on this subject, certainly not very many who have taken action to provide for the security of their children’s and their grandchildren’s futures. I recognize and applaud each and every one of you for at least taking the time to attend, entertain and contemplate the concept of restoration and revitalization of the Constitutional Militia. I will do my best to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have about the process or what we may further predict as the progression of such an organization.

If I do not have an immediate answer, I will strive to educate myself further so that I may provide as well-rounded a response on the subject as possible. We should be prepared and perhaps EXPECT hesitation and even derision or contempt from others who either do not understand Constitutional doctrine or who have been so wholly and completely programmed by their government that they honestly believe there is nothing at all wrong with the direction we are not only headed now, but have been for well over a century.

Thank you all for attending and, again, please do not hesitate to bring any comments, questions or concerns to my attention. We must all be willing to maintain an open communication, an open dialogue and cast aside any differences we may have politically, culturally or otherwise as we strive to rebuild and reclaim our birthright, our liberty, our freedom.

For in this day and age, the old sayings seem to carry more weight than ever before. As founder Benjamin Franklin said: We must indeed hang together, or most-assuredly we shall all hang separately.

Patrick Henry, on May 30TH of 1765, barely twenty-nine years old, stood before the assembly of Parliament and gave a visceral criticism of the course that was being laid by the empire: “Caesar had his Brutus, Charles the First his Cromwell and George the Third…” At that point he was interrupted by cries of “Treason!” from delegates who easily recognized the reference to assassinated leaders. Henry paused briefly, and then calmly finished his sentence: “...may profit by their example. If this be treason, let us make the most of it.”

This is not to say that I, we or anyone, for that matter is giving any other than precursory and fair warning to the federal government. The judicial, the legislative and the executive have all behaved dishonourably and have maligned their offices. With great tyranny there is always the threat of retribution. We do not offer that guarantee nor even intimate such. We can only here provide notice that we do not take lightly the cause of our own sovereignty and though it is with heavy and hardened hearts that we have come to this place, we have very little recourse available. Our collective disapproval and continued appeals and petitions for redress of grievances have fallen on naught but deaf ears. We have come to our final opportunity to press them into compliance with their oaths and their station. We do not undertake such a task lightly and, like our founders long before us, this comes ONLY after a long train of abuses and usurpations have evinced to reduce us under absolute despotism.

I leave you then with the closing passage from another of this great patriot’s speeches, given before the Virginia Convention on March 23RD, 1775:

It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, "Peace! Peace!" – but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!

Whereas the Congress has no delegated authority to legislate in the area of loosening constitutional restrictions to enhance Police activity has, by legislation caused the citizenry to be vulnerable to undisclosed searches, seizures and holds out the possibility of being incarcerated, without charge, indictment or legal recourse and has erected Fascist departments within the government to control the people and

Whereas the Congress has no delegated authority to legislate an expanded taking to enhance tax revenue has, by judicial fiat taken property from the citizens to transfer that property to "developers" for their use and profit and made the citizens tenants upon their own property by taxation and

Whereas the Congress has no delegated authority to legislate in the area of Education, Health Care, Agriculture or deliver funds to foreign nations from the treasury has, by legislation, usurped every area noted.

Whereas the Congress has the constitutional responsibility to establish immigration law, and has done so, it is also incumbent upon Congress to ensure that the law is
enforced. Congress has repeatedly refused to remove prosecutors and/or Judges that defy the law and embrace "rights" of illegal aliens to the detriment of the nation.

Therefore, we, the Sovereign citizens of our respective States, do hereby revoke your delegated authority to legislate in the foregoing areas and demand a repeal of all laws abhorrent to the Constitution upon pain of our refusal to obey or convict citizens indicted for refusal to subject themselves to such laws.

Congress is also directed to immediately repudiate GATT, NAFTA, CAFTA, SPP, NAU and all Executive Orders. You are furthermore directed to repeal all "programs" aiding in the removal of industry from the nation and pass legislation to imprison and/or fine any employer found to be employing illegal aliens. In addition, you are directed to revoke the charter of the Federal Reserve, confiscate all gold and silver holdings of the Federal Reserve, as proper property of the nation, and repudiate all interest payments to said Federal Reserve.

Furthermore, You are directed to disband the EPA, IRS, FDA, DHS, FEMA, USDA, DHHS, Department of Education, the Peace Corps, CIA, FBI, BATFE, VISTA Volunteers, Job Corps and any other "Great Society" Program. There shall be no amnesty for illegal aliens nor shall the children of foreign nationals be granted citizenship because of a happenstance of their birth upon US soil. Said children shall assume the nationality and citizenship of the non citizen parent.

Your are further directed to declare the Council of Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Bilderberger Group, ADL, JDL, AJC, B'ani B'rith, AIPAC and PNAC subversive organizations and establish a term of incarceration or fine for any government employee, whether elected or appointed, including those in the SES or GS employees. The provisional government of the Confederate States of America has established a set of principles and provisions that we believe are fundamentally necessary to rebuilding and restoring a free, CONSTITUTIONAL government of Southern Confederates. Anyone who wishes to lay the spectre of white guilt or northern morality against the Southern cause is no friend of the South, nor of truth. This is not revolutionary thinking and we do not seek to overthrow the federal empire, as is plainly stated in item 6.

The Constitutional government of the United State empire has rendered itself, through its own actions, null and void. Executive order and commission of crimes against foreign sovereign nations as well as her own citizens has left the nation a shadow of it former self. Whatever hope lay in the people to reclaim the prosperity and potential of the government created in 1787 has been abrogated to socialism, private banking cartels, secular humanism, tyranny and moral and fiscal bankruptcy.

It is no mere coincidence that there are 13 stars on the Confederate Flag and 13 principles we seek to uphold as the foundation for the restoration movement.

If you recognize that these values and truths, those which the government of the United State has repeatedly sought to usurp or limit, meet with a degree of approval from you, then perhaps you should at least consider joining the movement to restore the Confederate South.

The Confederate 13
~ Founding Principles for Restoring the Confederacy ~

1. Christianity is the predominant religion of the South; hence, the South is a Christian nation.

While we DO NOT give superiority to any specific denomination of Christianity, we openly and readily acknowledge Christianity is "on a higher footing" than any other religion. Having said that, our Christian beliefs do allow for other religious views to be preached, celebrated and observed, but NOT OFFICIALLY or at the expense of Christianity. Christianity, or the observance thereof, SHALL NOT be prohibited by any law or legal code.

2. The practice of abortion is abhorrent, reprehensible and revolting to the Christian faith.

Abortion has led to a culture of death, where infanticide has been increasingly practiced, to the point that the murder of children - born or unborn - has not been punished at all, or not properly punished. That the court - any court - can act to prevent any State from passing legislation outlawing this abhorrent practice is utterly unacceptable.

3. English is the language of the South.

No official special consideration or privilege shall be extended to non-English speaking people except in a court of law where an interpreter may be required. Citizenship shall not be conferred until the LEGAL immigrant successfully demonstrates proficiency in reading, speaking and writing in the English language. Immigration shall be tightly and jealously controlled. Illegal immigration shall be halted by increased patrolling of the border and border fencing consistent with the migratory interests of wildlife. The Border Patrol may be augmented with Cavalry to stem the tide of illegal entry into the South. Those here should immediately be removed unless they can conclusively prove that they are in the country legally. It is the government's duty to enforce immigration laws. If this is not done at the federal level, the States have the duty and the power to remove illegal immigrants from their borders and return them to their country of origin. Children born of illegal alien parents shall not assume nor be granted citizenship other than that of the illegal alien parent.

4. The South's culture, historically, was, and still is today, a Christian Celtic culture.

Our Christian values, beliefs and traditions are synonymous with our Celtic heritage and culture. One cannot be separated from the other. We, of the South, are the only people in the world that can lay claim to the title of: The Southern Christian Celt. We will be known for, and live by the confederate code of honor, and we will have a reverence for all things sacred. We will freely practice, celebrate and promote our unique peculiar culture within the borders of our Southland. Any other cultures will not be officially recognized, celebrated or promoted within the borders of the Southland.

5. Parents have the exclusive, God-given right to tend to the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, psychological and intellectual needs of their Minor Child.

The Minor Child has a right to be free of wanton cruelty and neglect at the hands of their Parent. This relationship may not be severed or interfered with without due process of law. No government, at any level, has the right, authority or jurisdiction to make any mandates on curriculum, school choice or compulsory education.

6. The South was within its Constitutional rights to secede.

We are backed in that assertion by the Declaration of Independence and Amendment X to the US constitution. We do not seek to overthrow the United States of America or conspire with those that do, we seek to regain the liberty of the South and to be left alone.

7. The Third National IS the OFFICIAL Flag of our country.

All flags of the South - including, but not limited to the Confederate Battle Flag, the First National (Stars & Bars), the Second National (Stainless Banner), the Third National and the Bonnie Blue Flag - shall not be prohibited from flying at any governmental office or place that receives government funding. Cemeteries may, and should be encouraged to fly the flags of the veterans interred within the cemetery.

8. The National Anthem of the South shall be the song Dixie.

It is the most endearing song of the South and no entity will have the power to ban it from being performed in public and at any venue.

9. Our money will not be a debt instrument issued by a private central bank.

Money will be issued or minted by the Treasury and backed by commodities of value (gold, silver, platinum or precious stones).

10. Every individual citizen has the absolute right to any arms they so choose.

No government, at any level, shall have jurisdiction regarding the carrying of, or drilling with arms. Felons shall be barred from possession of firearms until all conditions of their sentence are satisfied. Upon completion of their sentence, they shall assume full rights as any other citizen, barring any repeat offence.

11. Taxes on wages, savings, investments for retirement and property shall be prohibited.

Nongovernmental organizations, commissions and associations shall have no taxing or regulatory authority. Government may only use excise taxes, and only to fund specific and limited government functions. Any new law, especially one that carries taxation, must be justified by citing the specific constitutional provision that allows for it.

12. Property shall not be taken by eminent domain for any reason other than construction of a government building or necessary roadway, waterway, or other VITAL purpose (not for the financial enhancement of government or other entities).

Property so taken shall have been appraised by a disinterested third party property appraiser and the market value established shall be deemed the fair market value to be paid to the owner of the property. Property shall not be seized for the commission of a crime if anyone other than the defendant has a proprietary interest in the property.

13. Government shall be prohibited from aiding, in any fashion, the relocation of jobs or industry out of the South.

We must encourage heavy industry to locate in the South so our people have as near to full employment as possible with wages that allow a single wage earner to support a family so the wives may return to their more and most important roles of mother and homemaker. To that end, government may at times limit immigration of people from other countries to keep down the cost of living and to better insure affordable housing for legal residents.

Would You Stay In An Abusive, Forcibly Arranged Marriage?

Because that's exactly what we have in the United State of America. Please follow along and let see if this analogy does not fit the current political climate in our country.

I wrote the following in response to a good friend, whose name I shall refrain from printing to protect the innocence of, but that I felt was worthy of posting for [hopefully] the benefit of others.

Seems to me it's been more and more downs as we continue to spread the "American way" throughout the globe, even despite the objections of other nations and our own citizenry.

Never mind the continued abuses of Presidential power by executive order and squandering of billions of taxpayer dollars a day on the "war on terror", an analogous, ambiguous abstract concept.

If all you want to do is "hope" that things will get better, then that is your prerogative and I respect that. I believe that, under our current system, it WILL NOT get markedly better. Liberties we have lost are already gone and are unlikely to be reinstated.

Sometimes the only road to freedom is a full and amicable separation.

Without meaning to bring up bad memories or anything, but consider that the citizens of Virginia (and other Southern states) are represented by you. Consider that the federal government is represented by your ex-husband.

Now, do you consider that it was the better option for you to be relieved of the burden that marriage placed on you financially and spiritually or would you prefer that you were still together under the same, ever-worsening circumstances. I apologize for the bluntness of this analogy but this marriage of States to the Union is just like an abusive marriage of man and woman.

The United State is the abusive, licentious husband and the citizens (States) are the scared, battered and yet complacent wives. At some point the States must break from this abusive relationship and seek out a more amicable relationship, because it has been proven scientifically and psychologically that abusive relationships rarely change, even when the abusive partner swears they will do a better job. The abused party still lives in constant fear of retribution for past "transgressions".

Furthermore, because the States legally broke off (divorced) from the Union, they are (should be) free to pursue their own happiness. They were forcibly returned to their status of fealty under Federal rule. Even though the divorce was final, the North refused to recognize it and had his way with the South regardless. Our people, our culture and our history has been forcibly raped and plundered by the United State for almost 150 years and it's time to put an end to it. The United State can either peacefully (preferably without any military action) accept that we do not want to be repeatedly sodomized by their illegal occupation or they can face the consequences.

I don't want to live in fear of my liberties.

This is how our nation was treated (and is treated to this day) after the War of Northern Aggression. It must not be allowed to continue.

Initially, after the illegal "Patriot Act" was enacted there came a great roar of applause from the people, not knowing that their civil liberties were being siphoned off in the name of "national security". The office of the President was given almost unlimited power to rule by executive order during times of emergency. Sound familiar? It would if you had seen Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith.

I have never feared for my freedom from without, but I question the impetus of such acts to attack my freedom from within. The government believes they have the right to limit whatever freedoms they wish, but if the Constitution was acknowledged appropriately the people would see that they have the right to limit government.

Putting Down the "Confederate" Flag

Much like the blind fanatical nationalism on display across the country today as we remember and relive the horrors of 9/11 another event has been forever etched into the public consciousness, but with far greater implication and revisionism.

Let's forget for a minute that slavery was practiced in the North and the South. Let's forget that Lincoln offered the Southern states a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT protecting the practice of slavery if they would remain in the Union rather than secede. Let's ignore the fact that the Constitutional government of the United States was formed by the separate states, each of whom reserved the right to withdraw at any time.

Let's forget that secession, as a form of political resistance, was taught to cadets at West Point. Let's ignore that several Northern states wanted also to secede from the Union at some point, but were lured back into the fold with false promises and compromises.

Let's ignore the FACT that the Union government of the '50s and '60s were the ones that instigated segregation, forced busing and created a landslide of "victim" classes by stripping basic civil rights and liberties from all citizens.

If you say that the Confederate Flag stands only for racism, do not forget that those slaves were bought by Yankees, shipped to Yankee ports and sold in Yankee markets to Southern plantation owners who, consequently, made up less than 6% of the population of the South.

It is no less an insult for a statue of the murderer and usurper, Abraham Lincoln, to be erected in the glorious capital of Richmond than it would be for a statue of Hitler to be erected in Warsaw, Poland. Do you understand that Lincoln was hell-bent on eradicating the Southern culture from the earth just as Hitler wished to cleanse the Jews from Europe?

The Confederate Flag, today, if you can pull the lenses of falsehood and generations of revisionist history from in front of your eyes, represents freedom. Freedom to own property, not merely rent it from the government. Freedom to keep what you earn, rather than forwarding a hefty sum to the government to spend on illegal, inefficient programs and policies. Freedom to live in a land where black, white, yellow... we are all given the same OPPORTUNITY (not to be confused with welfare or socialism) so that each person can become as great as his or her potential ONLY dictates. Freedom to learn, grow and adapt to new challenges and events and improve as a society without fear of governmental retribution or punitive action.

The Confederate Third National Flag represents so many things beyond the Yankeefied myth of slavery as institution that it makes me sick to see the untold number of hypocritical Union banners flown in complete disregard of how immoral, illegal and unconstitutional the acts of that flag's government truly are.

The Standing Army of the United State

Why does the United State maintain a standing army? Under what jurisdiction or paranoid fear of aggression does the [federal Marxist] government justify the continued and unabated enlistment, provisioning and garrisoning of the Union army?

Article I, §8 of the United States Constitution provides Congress the power:

To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

The United State Army (Marines included) has been continuously staffed and armed for over a century-and-a-half. In that time there has been no attack on legitimate sovereign U.S. territory. Every action of the United State military colossus has been a police action or act of war undertaken in the interest of globalization.

Now, I'm not saying that we shouldn't have intervened once antagonized in WWII (however, any critical, independent thinker knows that FDR lured Japan into attacking Pearl Harbor through oil embargoes; and wasn't it convenient that the strength of the Pacific Fleet, the carriers, were all out of port that weekend?) WWI is questionable based on the outcome and results. Korea? Vietnam? Somalia? Iraq? Every one of these police actions, by-and-large, are in direct violation of the intended purpose of the Army of the United States. Billions of dollars of taxpayer money are spent every day for the ongoing and illegal occupation of foreign sovereign states in the name of "national security". What our government now finds useful of a standing army, aside from appearing indefatigable and omnipresent to the world is probably much more sinister.

The warning has been evident since the beginning, and that is of a one-world government ruled by a single power. The sovereign states knew this and did their very best to limit the powers of the national government only so far as was necessary to repel an invasion against the entire land or make negotiations and treaties with other nations.

What the government has done since then is to trample the letter and the spirit of our founding document at every turn. They have twisted the original meaning and, where they deemed it necessary to further their control over the citizens, they enacted illegal legislation in direct disregard of their constitutionally limited realm, produced amendments to the Constitution without benefit of elected representation (satellite puppet governments; appointees during the "reconstruction"; voted many resolutions into order) to lay illegitimate claim to additional centralized power (ie: income tax, citizenship) and lordship over the fiefdom.

Don't fool yourselves. The United State government knows that it is still an occupying military force, otherwise the Union Army would have been dispersed after the defeat of the Glorious Army of Northern Virginia. The [illegal federal Marxist] government knows that the moment they stand down the imperial army that those who have been unconstitutionally and immorally subjugated to the crown of their feeble elected monarchy will once again attempt to gain liberation from under the boot heel of their Yankee oppressors.

What the [illegitimate] government does not realize is that there is no Army on earth that can stand before the Judgment of God and the citizens of the South shall not be perpetual subjects to a false king. No national flag shall be flown higher than that of a state or local government as it was never intended for a national government to overlord the acts of the separate, free states. It was ultimately the responsibility of the free states to moderate that dangerous centralism and prevent it from becoming all-powerful.

It is never too late to undo the wrongs of the past. As it is oft-times said, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

What Would It Take?

Let's assume that everything is A-OK in America. Let's assume that the actions and legislation of the past handful of federal administrations haven't essentially undermined not only the spirit, but the letter of the law of our land, The Constitution of The United States.

I ask in all seriousness, what would it take for you to rally behind a movement, ANY MOVEMENT, to secure your liberty?

I have asked several military servicemen what they would do. How would they respond if their Commander in Chief issued orders that directly contradicted the Constitution, which they are sworn to uphold and defend? What would they say when told that they had already done just that?

Homeland tours for combat troops to "reinforce and assist" local law enforcement. A million polyethylene coffins stacked mere miles from Atlanta/Hartsfield Airport, the largest civilian airport in America. Crippling near-trillion-dollar bailout packages of domestic AND FOREIGN finance markets directly against the will of the people. Detainment camps for political dissenters. Restrictions of domestic travel (TSA). State National Guard units deployed worldwide leaving individual State's liberties virtually unprotected and our own shores and borders unsecured. Censorship of speech and press. Suspension of habeus corpus. Suspension of right to a speedy trial. Suspension of right to face one's accuser. Suspension of protection from warrantless search. Suspension of "probable cause".

All of these things (and others) have already been enacted against the people and the government continues to siphon rights away every single day under the guise of national security and the "war on terror." All the war on terror has done is allowed the federal government to violate the laws of the people to further its own agenda.

A common response I get from the federally indoctrinated is "Well, if you hate it so much, why don't you leave?" They comment not on the issues they have been presented, but on a blind loyalty and enduring unquestioning faith in a government that takes up to 35% of their paycheck, yet heads the most financially deficient treasury in the world.

While many consider patriotism to be the love of one's country and the willingness to do anything to protect it, they fail to recognize that they also have a duty, as a patriot, to decry injustice against their country from within. Blind nationalism and flag-waving do not a patriot make. Serving in the armed services does not a patriot make. Believing in something greater than oneself and defending not only ones home and lands, but the principles that provide for freedom. These things are what patriots are made of.

Military might does not equate to freedom, nor does it inherently infer upon the mighty the quality of being just.

So, again I ask: What would it take? Can you place a number on how many freedoms you are willing to surrender before you realize that your liberty is expired? Can you name the one freedom you take for granted that you would be unwilling to give up if they decided to take it? My response is zero. I am willing to give up exactly ZERO of the rights and privileges GUARANTEED to me by the Constitution, because they are all of equal importance and equal necessity to lay claim of liberty. The loss of ANY ONE OF THEM sets a very dangerous precedent and sets in motion as a great stone rolling down a hill. It will gather speed and, if anyone or anything should stand in its way, it will knock them aside and continue on its way. The longer it rolls, the harder it is to stop.

The stone has been rolling for some time in America and it will take an army of CITIZENS to stop it. It will take many, many patriots to stand together, arrest this free fall of liberty and roll that stone back to the top of the hill.

It won't matter to most of you until they come and PHYSICALLY imprison you because, apparently, that is the only "liberty" you hold dear. So long as you are not imprisoned, they're not infringing on your rights, eh? In the immortal of Earl Pitts: Wake up AMERICA!

The following are examples of rights that the President and congress have already expunged (as reported by the Associated Press):

Freedom of Association - government may monitor religious and political institutions without suspecting criminal activity to assist terror investigations.

Freedom of Information - government has closed once-public immigration hearings, has secretly detained hundreds of people without charges, and has encouraged bureaucrats to resist public records requests.

Freedom of Speech - government may prosecute librarians or keepers of any other records if they tell anyone that the government subpoenaed information related to a terror investigation.

Right to Legal Representation - government may monitor federal prison jailhouse conversations between attorneys and clients, and deny lawyers to Americans accused of crimes.

Freedom from Unreasonable Searches - government may search and seize Americans' papers and effects without probable cause to assist terror investigations

Right to a Speedy and Public Trial - government may jail Americans indefinitely without a trial.

Right to Liberty - Americans may be jailed without being charged or being able to confront witnesses against them.

The Bush administration has done more to dismantle Constitutional protections of our liberties than any other President in modern memory. It seems the people believe that until federal Storm Troopers knock down the doors of their homes and drag them off to the gulags, they have lost no freedoms. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Like lemmings, the vast majority of you are willing to follow the immoral, illegitimate leadership of this DOOMED EXPERIMENT in democracy because "it's better than the alternative". You have no fear of loss so long as it's not your own. They've destroyed the dollar, they've ruined the name "America" and they have implicated every one of us along with them. There is a reckoning coming and I've chosen to be on the side of liberty.

It's time for you to choose what you believe in. You'd better be sure you're willing to meet your maker once you've made your decision.
